Exterior and Interior

The RZ’s interior has been created with a focus on simplicity, which means that many buttons and switches have been moved to the large touchscreen display from the dashboard and doors. While both Tesla and Polestar have used similar approaches in their electric vehicle (EV) models, the results have been mixed. A large infotainment touchscreen, reaching 14.0 inches in size, dominates the RZ’s dashboard. Its touchscreen design is evocative of that of the gasoline-powered NX SUV. Lexus states that there are other ways in which the driver may interact with the system, such as via touching the screen or speaking commands into it. Engine and Performance

A total of 308 horsepower is sent to each of the four wheels of the RZ450e by means of a dual-motor setup. While it does have rapid acceleration, our initial impressions were that it lacked the thrill of rivals like the Volvo C40 Recharge and the Jaguar I-Pace. We were able to get the RZ450e to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds on our test track.

Lexus has officially announced that a yoke-style steering wheel with a steer-by-wire technology would be an accessible option in the future. But a regular circular wheel will be the norm, so you can choose not to have a yoke if you aren’t ready for it. The yoke and steer-by-wire technologies were let us try out while riding a prototype RZ.  Assuming you opt for the optional 20s, your city MPG drops to 102 and your highway MPG drops to 87. On our highway fuel economy test route, traveling at 75 miles per hour, we achieved 68 miles per gallon equivalent. With a capacity of 63.4 kWh, the RZ450e shares a battery pack with the Subaru Solterra and the Toyota bZ4X. Its predicted range is 220 miles when fitted with the regular 18-inch wheels, but drops to 196 miles when fitted with the larger 20-inch wheels.
